Simon Tittley has been playing BLUES and BLUES ROCK guitar and bass since the mid-seventies.
While working as a musician in the USA in the nineties he spent time in small East Coast clubs and bars watching and learning from blues greats CLARENCE GATEMOUTH BROWN, CHARLIE MUSSLEWHITE and JAMES COTTEN, blues rocker LONNIE MACK and country blues jazz virtuoso DANNY GATTON.
He appeared several times at the iconic BITTER END on Bleecker Street in NYC and played support gigs to SPIROGYRA, TRIBAL TECH and JAKOB DYLAN & THE WALLFLOWERS. Later in 2011 he produced a jazz rock album featuring jazz rock pioneer LARRY CORYELL.
As a guitar player Simon has been influenced by ERIC CLAPTON, DAVID GILMOUR, RORY GALLAGHER, ROBBEN FORD and LEE RITENOUR.
Bass playing influences range from JERRY JEMMOTT, TOMMY SHANNON and PAUL MACARTNEY to NATHAN EAST and REGGIE MCBRIDE.
Simon has successfully taught thousands of students since 1994 and even if you're a COMPLETE BEGINNER Simon can get you started on learning to play BLUES GUITAR or BLUES BASS.
Simon is a UK Blues Federation member and supporter.
